Its just scary that after all these years they might consider the case abandoned if you don't receive the damn FP letter. Some guys didn't even get the receipts yet. I feel for those...
P.S.: Anybody got the case closed because they missed the FP appointment ? Is there a way to reopen it ?

I guess the cases that are pre-adjucated are called for interview.
Well "interview" without PD becoming current is a part of "preadjudication" process. Thats why you see those denials, RFEs and interview notices.
Typically once preadjudication is done - it means the next thing is "wait for visa number". Once visa number is available a final review is done by a officer.
In other words "preadjudicated" means "approvable"

Your new employer has to start GC from scratch, but you can retain your old PD if your I140 is approved.

I have future GC filed from Company X, the priority date is February 2006.
I am currently working for Company Y on H1B. This H1B will expire in April 2009. Company Y is also ready to file my GC and I would like to work with Company Y till by future GC is approved, my question is if I have already filed for 485, EAD and AP through Company X, scenario will it be advisable to file another labour and I-140 through Company Y now?
What could be the implications?
It is advisable if work at Y is significantly different than what is in LC filed at X. There is no other negative impact of that, other than filing fees. If Y is willing to file for your LC go for it. That way you are not restricted by rules of AC21. There is no limit on how many I-140 or LC's you can have.

Dear All,
We have applied for our 485 in August 07 with myself as Primary applicant and my wife as dependent. My wife later got her H1B in october but we haven't updated her status as H1b to USCIS in the 485 processing. Recently we moved to a new place and wanted to change the address online. I suppose I and my wife have to fill the Ar-11 form individually. When trying to fill for my wife, I got some questions.
Please clarify:
1. I am in the United States as a ___ (Should this blank be filled with H4 or H1B for my wife? If I say H1b will there be any problem as I added her to my GC process as a H4. Also, should her employer details be given in the form?
2. Copy number from Alien card? Is this the I-94 number or passport number or alien number on the finger printing sheet?
3. If not a permanent resident, my stay in US expires on ____ (Should this be the same date as her H1B end date?)

Hi Guys,
My personal experience on this. In my case I found a positive skin test and went for X-ray scan. In xray scan they found a module and USCIS doctor is reluctant to give a 693 until I got clearance from PCP. I researched a lot on this and found that positive skin test might be because of different bacteria in body which may cause to bump and not exactly the TB bacteria. There is a new test called TB gold test, where they will specifically test for TB bacteria in blood sample. This was negative in my case and got a result from pulminology department. USCIS approved doctor gave 693 after reviewing it. My GC got approved without any problem. Accuracy in tb gold test is 97% where as skin test is 70 to 80%. I agree the volume of tests are less but the new technology is more accurate than the old. Hope this helps.

Let us put it this way. Short term we can get some benefits of the 90 k visas that can be recaptured (140k according to the Ombudsman - 50k which went to Schedule A last year) But now 90k , regardless of whether it frees numbers for all countries, is going to be a short lived relief . With so many cases coming out of the backlog, there has to be some long term solution for this. All the comprehensive immigration bills had been talking of raising the per country quota by a couple of % but you have to also see that they are redistributing the allocations to EB1, 2 and 3. So I guess in the long run, there is no other option but to increase the overall quota

As per last action rule, you might have violated the H1 status, by continuly working with L1, after CIS approved the COS application. Perhps, the violation might have been reset by your fresh entry with L1. As your family is not with you, better consult an qualified attorney.

While thousands of “otherwise unused” numbers will be available for potential use without regard to the China and India Employment Second preference per-country annual limits, it is not known how the “upgrades” will ultimately impact the cut-offs for those two countries. (The allocation of “otherwise unused” numbers is discussed below.)

They all died due natural cause and age. They are all more than eighty years old. I was trying to emphasis, in this forum we do not need to discuss about YSR. He might be a beloved leader for someone and corrupt for others. Whatever may be the case take your discussion to the relevant place. The reason I started this thread to emphasis that there are lot of people dying across the country and around the world and we do not need to hold prayer for every one or they poor souls are not different from YSR and they also deserve to be remembered in our prayers. well the short answer is i like the light picture better. now i am sure that is not all your after is which one but also why. to me the photo is just jumping out at me more dark images have there place but for this particular type of image i think the lighter pictures lend better to flowers

Another interesting thing that happened to me. After I got this extension I went to Canada and got a new visa in my passport and it’s also valid for two more years. If my H1B extension was made by mistake it looks like I committed a fraud asking visa in my passport based on documents that are not valid.
I am so confused now. Can anybody please recommend a good layer who can give me a legal advice, preferably from central PA?
